The first session of the Parish League took place in glorious sunshine on Thu 16th May with 101 boys from P1 - P7 taking part in their respective leagues. The weather was good and the some of the hurling was even better. There were three pitches that hosted the games of the P1/P2s, P3/P4s and P5/P6/P7s respectively. In a hectic hour's hurling, every team had six games with each one lasting seven minutes.
Juvenile Chairman Michael Quinn was delighted with the turnout of both young hurlers and their parents who proved very enthusiastic supporters. He was also warm in his praise for all the people who had helped him to organise the event and says they are all looking forward to the next leg of League fixtures that will be held on Thu 23rd May. Hopefully both the weather and the hurling will be just as good!
