How they played: This is a game Ruairi Og will wish to forget about fairly quickly. Sean Delargy and Terry Mc Alister battled hard to stem the tide however the forwards never really got going with only Neil Mc Manus posing any real threat.

Ruairi Og Cushendall
Ruairi Og second string made it four wins in a row in the league when they beat Loughgiel for the second time this season. Loughgiel started the stronger and had themselves well in front 1-5 to 0-2. However Cushendall were beginning to get to grips with their opponent and they held them scoreless for a period of 19 minutes in which time, thanks to great work from mid fielders Aidan Mc Naughton and John Mc Manus in particular, they hauled themselves level 0-8 to 1-5. However in the dying seconds Loughgiel converted a free to lead at the short whistle 1-6 to 0-8. The Ruairi’s started the second half in the same vain they finished the first. They were giving a great display, with some fine hurling from Mark Donaghy, Eamon Laverty and Aidan Mc Naughton they found themselves 4 points in front with 8 minutes to go, 0-17 to 2-7. Loughgiel hadn’t given up and as they pushed forward they converted 3 frees in a row to leave just a point between the teams with 4 minutes left, however try as they might they could not break through a superb Ruairi Og defense which was well marshaled by captain Shea Mc Naughton at full back and when the whistle blew for full time the points went to The Dall, 0-17 to 2-10.
How they played: This was a great team performance in which every man gave their all. Sean Mc Killop, Dan Kinney, Eunan Mc Killop and David Kearney all defended well, John Mc Manus put in a strong shift in mid field and up front there was a great spread of scores with every forward getting on the score sheet but my man of the match was Aidan Mc Naughton who gave a brave performance in mid field. He must have covered every blade of grass on the pitch and was always there when he was needed.
