On Sat 26th Jan 2013, Martin Magee, Terence Mc Naughton, John 'Smokey' Mc Killop, SP Mc Killop(Camogie Club) and Alex Emerson all attended the Ulster Coaching Conference in The Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown. Ciaran Kearney(jun) was also there in his capacity as an officer of Ulster Camogie.
Guests including Sean Boylan (former Meath Manager) and Dr Aidan Hamill (Rossa) gave talks related to the main theme of the Conference which was 'Thinking Coaches Produce Thinking Players'. The delegates also attended a number of workshops including a comparison of the northern and southern hurler based on specific data that had been collected by several Ulster coaches and a look at the Kilkenny model for producing so many top class hurlers.
Hopefully all the delegates will have gained some knowledge from the day and will be able to share it with their peers and the teams they coach/manage in the near future.
